Davies enables Samphire Risk launch following regulatory approval

LONDON, UK – 19 January 2022 – Davies, the leading specialist professional services and technology business, serving insurance and highly regulated markets, today announced that it has supported the launch of its latest MGA partnership, Samphire Risk, following approval to start trading.

Davies operate an independent incubator platform offering a “launch and host” service to entrepreneurs, private companies and corporates who are looking to establish an MGA. Having successfully supported the launch and hosting of over 40 MGAs so far, Davies has established itself as a go-to partner for entrepreneurs requiring regulatory and operational support.

Samphire Risk is an exciting new MGA venture for the CHC Group and led by industry-expert and CEO Charlie Hanbury, supported by Mark Skinner, Chief Underwriting Officer, and Hannah Catchpole, Assistant Underwriter. The independent MGA will focus exclusively on hostile and malicious risk insurance and is backed by a blend of Lloyd’s and company market paper, with their Lloyd’s binder led by Aspen.
