National accolade from Insurance Business magazine
awarded based on direct Broker input
Renovation Underwriting, the class leading MGA that offers specialist renovation
products and expertise, has been announced as an All-Star MGA in the
annual 5-Star MGA report published by Insurance Business Magazine – the world’s
leading independent insurance publisher.
The 5-Star Awards from Insurance Business magazine (IBUK) recognise
outstanding service and products in the insurance sector. IBUK surveyed brokers
earlier this year, asking them to rate an MGA’s performance in 10 survey
categories. Areas that MGAs were rated on included overall responsiveness,
technical expertise and ability to place niche or emerging risks.
33 MGAs earned a 5-Star rating this year with an average score of 4 or higher in at
least one category, signifying their exceptional service. Renovation Underwriting
is one of four MGA’s that was further awarded All-Star status, having earned 5-
Star ratings in all categories.
Douglas Brown, Managing Director of Renovation Underwriting commented:
“We get to write interesting and challenging renovation cases every day thanks to
the broking community’s belief in us and our collective approach to making sure
the client wins. Across the business, we pride ourselves on the breadth of skills and
the services we offer to the market – and for our Brokers to recognise that and
reward us with All Star MGA status means a great deal to us.”
The full list of 5 Star MGA winners has been published on Insurance Business UK
website. The 5 Star MGA initiative is part of a growing series
of special reports from the publication – industry surveys and rankings
showcasing the best individuals, companies and products in the market.
The national accolade was celebrated in a dedicated drinks reception on the
Renovation Underwriting stand at BIBA a few weeks ago, where they also formally launched Contract Works Academy – the new online training platform for Brokers and Insurers that offers specialist learning resources for contract works insurance.
