On the 4th December, the MGAA, together with fellow members, attended a seminar hosted by His Excellency Mr Rudolph Huygelen, Ambassador of Belgium to the United Kingdom.
This seminar attracted in excess of 70 people and discussed how MGAs could set up an insurance entity in Belgium with a view of pan-European trading post BRexit.
His Excellency was joined by the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, the Head of Unit Insurance Supervision, the Director of the Financial Services & Markets Authority and an International Tax Councillor.
This seminar was designed to outline some of the benefits of setting up a business in Belgium and some of the regulatory and tax expectations. The slides from this meeting are available on the links below.
