Communication between the MGA and the TPA is critical as is the use of data and technology to deliver informed claims decisions that reinforce outstanding service.

About the presenters

Caroline Cherry – DAC Beachcroft, Head of PI Claims Handling Unit
Caroline leads a highly specialised team that provides a dedicated claims handling service on behalf of Professional and Financial Lines Insurers and their Insureds. The team provides a proactive and cost-effective service, managing PI, D&O and Cyber claims by way of early analysis of liability and quantum, coverage and strategies. 

James Tallant – DAC Beachcroft, Head of Claims Handling in the Claims Solutions Group

James leads the Claims Handling team nationally within the Claims Solutions Group who provide bespoke claims handling service, supported by a highly experienced and successful team. His teams are experts in handling volume industrial disease, Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Motor outsource claims for major insurers, MGAs and corporates.

Dean Fairburn – Head of Claims, Bspoke Group

Dean’s career in Financial Services spans across 30 years, working in claims roles across composite insurers and MGAs. He set up the Claims Supplier Management function within Bspoke Underwriting, a specialist and niche MGA based in Leeds, where he now serves as Head of Claims. Dean has an extensive background in personal lines’ products and oversight roles within the claims environment and has responsibility for internal and external outsourced claims activities within Bspoke Underwriting

Rosie Hewitt – Sompo International, Head of Delegated Claims

Rosie has worked in various roles within the insurance industry for large MGA’s and has unrivalled expertise in claims governance, delegated claims oversight, risk mitigation and vendor performance management best practices both at a local and global level. She has a wealth of experience in implementing risk proportionate Performance Frameworks to drive Delegated Authority oversight. In addition, Rosie has also previously worked with Lloyd’s and the LMA in supporting the market develop its approach to delegated authority business. Currently she is working at Sompo in building out the delegated claims strategy and team.

Michael Keating – Chief Executive Officer, MGAA

With Over 40 years’ experience in the industry Mike’s career has included time at Insurers, Brokers & MGAs in both the Commercial & Personal Lines markets.

He held Executive positions at AXA, Midas, UK General and most recently Insurtech start up Qlaims before becoming Chief Executive Officer at the MGAA in September 2020. Mike has also been included in the 2024 Insurance Business Global list, for the second year in a row.

His personal interests include supporting Manchester United (despite being from London!), a keen interest in music, and trying to keep pace with my grandchildren.
